Frequently Asked Questions
"What is your nutrition philosophy?"
At Kaitlyn Pscodna LLC, I take an "all foods fit" approach to nutrition. I believe all foods can be utilized to help you meet your training, performance, or lifestyle goals. I believe all bodies are worthy of adequate nutrition, a positive relationship with food, and joyous movement. I utilize set point theory in my work regarding body weight, and my intention is always to help you live a healthy (whatever that means to you), thriving life. Please note that I do not prescribe weight loss plans or focus on weight loss as a primary goal. If your primary interest is weight loss, I am happy to provide referrals to other providers.
"Do you see patients in all states?"
I can provide nutrition counseling to patients in Minnesota, Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
"What are your current fees for service?"
Initial Assessment (75 minutes): $175
Adult Follow-Up (45 minutes): $100
Minor Follow-Up (45 minutes): $100
Parent Session (45 minutes): $100

"Do you take insurance?"
After spending more than a year completing countless forms and sitting through hours of calls with various insurance companies, I have made the decision to discontinue all insurance contracts. Many people don’t realize that accepting insurance often feels like taking on an additional full-time job—and it can be incredibly taxing.
While this was not an easy decision, I ultimately made it so I can better preserve my own energy and well-being, allowing me to show up fully and provide the highest quality care for my clients.
I do accept HSA/FSA cards for payment and am happy to provide a Superbill for those seeking potential out-of-network reimbursement.
I am also open to discussing payment plans and/or a sliding-scale option. If my pricing feels out of reach for you, please know that you are always welcome to reach out—without shame or hesitation—so we can explore options together. I am deeply committed to offering my services in a way that is as accessible and feasible as possible.
"I see you are also a social worker. Can you be my therapist, too?"
At this time, particularly in the context of eating disorder recovery, I believe it is important to keep these services separate so individuals have dedicated space to address both their nutrition and their mental health. I do not serve as both a therapist and a nutrition provider for the same client. However, I strongly recommend that anyone seeking nutrition support for an eating disorder also work with a qualified mental health therapist alongside their dietitian.
